Weapons charges laid against French River man

A French River man face weapons charges after the Nipissing West detachment crime unit of the Ontario Provincial police executed a search warrant Monday.

Police said eight firearms, including both restricted and non-restricted weapons and ammunition were seized.

Timothy Dunn, 62, is charged with careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.

Dunn was to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury for a bail hearing.
