Crews are to clear snowbanks in parts of downtown Owen Sound overnight Wednesday.
Operations are to begin at 8 p.m. Vehicles parked in the downtown must be moved from parking spaces by that time to allow access for snow removal equipment, the city said in a news release.
Winter overnight parking restrictions are in place and vehicles interfering with snow removal activities may be towed, the release said.
The sections of streets to be cleared include 2 nd Avenue East from 6 th Street East to 11 th Street East, 3 rd Avenue East from 8 th Street East to 10 th Street East, 10 th Street from 1 st Avenue West to 4 th Avenue East, 9 th Street from 1 st Avenue West to 4 th Avenue West, 8 th Street from 1 st Avenue West to 4 th Avenue West, 1 st Avenue East from 8 th Street East to 9 th Street East, and 1 st Avenue West from 8 th Street West to 10 th Street West.
Signs will be posted indicating snow clearing operations are ongoing and motorists and pedestrians are asked to be aware of their surroundings when in the areas.
