Bruce County its offering $4,000 bursaries to eligible, first-year early childhood education students attending Fanshawe or Georgian colleges.
“The key objectives of this partnership are to sustain, enhance, grow, and attract an increasingly diverse early childhood education workforce,” Tina Metcalfe, Bruce County’s manager of children’s services, is quoted saying in a news release.
“This bursary opportunity will help Bruce County students join the caring and dedicated child care and early years professionals across Bruce County.”
The bursaries are for students who demonstrate financial need who enter the two-year ECE program at Fanshawe College or Georgian College. Up to 20 bursaries of up to $4,000 are offered, each covering about half the tuition costs.
To be eligible, students must be full-time domestic student entering first year of either school’s ECE diploma program. For full details, visit the county’s website.
